Focus is a nonprofit organization committed to increasing access to computer science in schools.
We envision a future in which every child has an equal opportunity to learn computer science equipping them with the skills for a new technological world.
By introducing innovative teaching methodology in computer science the aim is to reach children of all backgrounds and build capacity of teaching personnel in the field.

FOCUS was founded by a group of philanthropists and education specialists in response to the outdated state of computing education in primary and secondary schools in Pakistan. Due to the lack of solid foundation in computing principles and logical thinking, the new generation is not adequately prepared for the age of technology.
Computing education inculcates principles of creative problem solving and logical thinking that can help students with challenges in any subject area. With the rapid growth of the technology sector, this will also prepare them to enter the fastest growing job market today.
Dr. Amber Gul Rashid is the faculty Member at Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. She was the director QEC at Institute of Business Administration, Karachi. She plays various roles for Shell in the Netherlands. She is doctorate in Business and Management (with the topic being a combination of Marketing & IT).
